Olivia Munn hates Swedish food.
The 'TRON: Legacy' actress was put off when she saw the cuisine in her boyfriend Joel Kinnaman's home country, and made sure she steered clear of pickled herring, one of the nation's delicacies.
She told People magazine: ''I don't think there are any Swedish restaurants in Los Angeles. The Swedish food I've seen is, like, pickled fish that can live outside the refrigerator for, like, a day.
''I went last summer. I didn't have [the pickled fish]. I saw it; I thought, 'I don't want that.' They love it. That and potatoes.''
Thankfully for Olivia, 32, Joel's father, who is American, is a dab hand at world cuisine after living in South East Asia for a while.
She added: ''My boyfriend's dad is a really great cook, and he was in Laos for while so he actually made a lot of food [I liked]. I didn't have to go for the pickled herring.''
Olivia has been dating 'The Killing' star Joel since earlier this year, and friends say she is impressed by the way he is so ordinary.
A source said: ''He is a super-normal guy and she is a really down-to-earth girl and they just get each other.
''They are on the same wavelength intellectually, and they have the same sense of humor. It's been going on for a little while and it's heading towards being serious. They are extremely happy together.''
