SXSW 2015 is set to take over Austin, Texas for yet another spectacular event, spanning numerous venues with countless showcases and hundreds of artists. We may be a few weeks away yet, but here's a little taster of some of the best places to be this year.

First up, the Parish is hosting some seminal shows all week, so this should definitely be at the top of your schedule. Wednesday, March 18th sees alt rock Londoners Wolf Alice on the bill, impressing with material from their EP releases; though we are yet to see an album release from these four. Equally, LA newcomers BØRNS are not to be missed, nor are San Diego indie favourites Delta Spirit. Thursday sees The Vaccines promote their upcoming album 'English Graffiti', alongside Palma Violets with 'Danger In The Club', while New York's Lolawolf brings their brand of sensational disco pop to the scene. Friday will be headlined by the Jarman brothers' band The Cribs, and Saturday will see appropriate surf-rock from Florida four-piece Surfer Blood.

Shield your eyes as Austin's most vibrant music festival marks its seventh year from May 2nd-4th 2014. With The Zombies, The Horrors and Temples on this unique bill, are we looking at Austin Psych Fest's best year yet?

Founded in 2008, the Austin Psych Fest started off as a tiny event; a one day blast of sensational independent bands at The Red Barn venue. It took just one year for it to expand into three whole days of psychedelic magic and will this year take place at the Carson Creek Ranch playing host to some of the most well respected bands of the genre in the business. We've had six years so far of this inimitable energy and with old lucky number seven comes a line-up that is arguably the festival's most interesting yet.

‘Losing You’: Can Solange Knowles Eclipse Beyoncé With Her Return To Music?

Solange Knowles Beyonce Knowles Grizzly Bear Of Montreal

Solange Knowles has returned to the pop scene. She might be better known as the younger sister of Beyonce Knowles but with ‘Losing You,’ Solange could finally prove that she’s a talented artist in her own right, with no need to live in her sister’s shadow. It’s been four years since Solange released her second album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams, which may have been well-received but failed to get her a foothold on her career ladder in the music industry.

‘Losing You’ is produced by Blood Orange’s Devonté Hynes, according to LA Times and it’s a neat laid-back modern R&B song, with just enough swagger to get her personality across, but just enough retro groove to set it apart from most mainstream R&B tracks. It’s simultaneously downbeat and uplifting and the video really captures her spirit as she cycles around Cape Town, South Africa. The video was directed by Melina Matsoukas; she’s worked with Solange before, on 2008’s ‘I Decided.’

The track, which features the lyrics “I’m not the one that you should be making your enemy, tell me the truth, boy, am I losing you for good,” will be released by Terrible Records, which is run by Chris Taylor of the band Grizzly Bear. The B-side will be ‘Sleep in the Park,’ which will feature Kevin Barnes, of the band Of Montreal. Both tracks are taken from her as-yet-untitled album, which is expected to be released some time in 2013.
