Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer is hoping to reinvent herself as a storybook author after writing a spy caper for kids.
Spencer, who scooped the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for The Help on Sunday (26Feb12), is shopping around for a publisher to release the series.
She tells E! Online, "They're books about sleuthing. I'm a detective by nature. I have one book written and two that are already being mapped out."
Spencer reveals she took inspiration for her kids' books from an unusual source, adding, "I'm a huge forensics person. I watch all the case study shows. I love them."
