George Clooney has blasted pretentious actors who stay in character off set, and wishes they would be more like Cate Blanchett.
Blanchett plays a German agent in new movie THE GOOD GERMAN, and while she perfected the accent quickly she would slip back into her native Australian accent as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.
And Clooney, used to actors who stay in character for the duration of the filming, was delighted at the Lord Of The Rings star's lack of pretension.
The Oceans Eleven star says, "Some actors, it's all about the craft and that's the most important thing in the world.
"But Cate will come to work and have a conversation about virtually anything and then the director will go 'OK, action,' and she'll turn around and have the perfect German accent. And then he will say cut, and she'll turn around and go, 'OK... anyway.'
"And I can't tell you how much that is appreciated because to me that is true professionalism, having the ability not to make everybody have to participate in your acting experience."
Oscar-winner Matt Damon was blown away by Angelina Jolie on the set of their new film THE GOOD SHEPHERD and insists her talent is more awe-inspiring than her beauty.
The actor became close friends with Jolie's partner Brad Pitt, after the pair co-starred in Oceans Eleven and TWELVE, and Pitt was a regular visitor on the set.
He explains, "She's just absolutely beautiful, but she's a terrific actress and that kind of overpowers her beauty, believe it or not, when you're right next to her.
"(Pitt) came by a few times. You'd know they were there because we were shooting in an armoury in Brooklyn (New York).
"On the days she worked, there were like 50 cameras and all these people. They have to deal with a lot of that stuff.
"People are fascinated by her and by him. And them together - it's like the perfect storm."
New dad Brad Pitt insists the way he goes about choosing roles is much different now that he has three children.
The Oceans Eleven star claims he is much more careful because he wants his children to be proud of his choices.
Pitt has a three-month-old daughter, SHILOH, with Angelina Jolie, as well as ZAHARA, 1, and MADDOX, 5.
He explains, "My thoughts these days are, 'Oh, my God, what did I do? What are they going to see from the past?'
"It definitely colours what I'll approach in the future. I'll try to be a little bit more mature about my decisions."
George Clooney is still amazed whenever he is surrounded by frenzied fans - especially when he's out dining with movie legends he feels deserve more attention than him.
The Oceans Eleven actor, 43, was left deeply embarrassed when he was singled out during a recent night out with OSCAR-winning actor Robert Duvall, as he believes their focus should have been on THE GODFATHER star.
Clooney says, "One of my most embarrassing times was when I was going for dinner with Robert Duvall.
