British rockers Oasis are planning to turn to their former manager ALAN McGEE to help them recapture their old magic.

The WONDERWALL hitmakers - whose contract with Sony ends in six week's time - have struggled to create their upcoming sixth studio album.

Sources suggest they may turn to McGee, who signed Oasis in 1993 and helped them find fame and success. The two went their separate ways in 1999 when McGee sold his label CREATION to Sony.

A friend tells British newspaper the DAILY STAR, "Everyone wants to sign them but they want to go through Alan again, probably by creating a new label together and getting a major to distribute the albums."

Band members have refused to confirm plans, but after picking up the Best Music DVD prize at last week's (17FEB05) NME Awards, guitarist Noel Gallagher hinted, "All I'm going to say is our contract is up in six weeks."
