Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher's new clothing line is proving so popular, the fashion range's website crashed within seconds of launching.
The rocker debuted his Pretty Green label - which includes trousers, hats, cagoules and T-shirts - online on Thursday (04Jun09).
But public demand proved too much when more than 100,000 fans jammed the site within moments of its launch, causing online chaos.
A spokesperson for Pretty Green has apologised for the problems: "We carried out extensive research and had advanced superior systems in place to manage over 30 times what you would expect for the launch of a brand like this.
"We have engaged the best technology providers in the U.K., but obviously even the most robust system couldn’t deal with this level of demand."
And Gallagher himself admits he has already been dealing with the high demand for his designs - from his Oasis bandmates. But he insists his pals will have to log on to the website like the rest of the public, as he won't be giving them any clothes for free.
He says, "There will be no freebies. In this credit crunch time, they will be buying it like everybody else."
