Noel Gallagher has revealed that OASIS have not received an invite to the Brit Awards.

The Manchester legends took the Outstanding Contribution to Music award in 2007's ceremony, with this year's event scheduled to take place at London's Earls Court on February 18th.

However, Noel said they have not been included on the guest list due to the fact they are no longer signed to a mainstream record label.

Speaking to Absolute Radio, he said: "We won't be going. Because we're not on a major record label any more and we run our own ship, we don't get invited to those kind of things these days."

He added: "It's fair enough, we don't mind."

Noel recently claimed that the new 22-minute remix of their song Falling Down may be too long for many fans of the band.

The new track is Oasis' longest ever track followed by 1998's All Around the World, which clocked in at a nine minutes and 20 seconds.
