Rock group THE OTHERS sang in protest outside a London museum on Friday (25FEB05) to demonstrate their anger over bosses' decision to cancel a planned gig inside the venue.

The British band are furious their appearance at the Victoria and Albert Museum event called AGITATE! EDUCATE! ORGANISE! had been pulled over safety concerns after organisers feared too many fans would attend the free concert being held in a 300-seat lecture theatre.

The recent winners of British publication NME's musical innovation award usually attract between 150 and 200 fans at each performance.

A spokesperson for The Others says the cancellation was ironic as the event is designed to "highlight the way young British writers and musicians are finding new ways to present their ideas".
