The Voodoo Music Experience will return to its original New Orleans, Louisiana, home to become the first major entertainment event held in the devastated city since Hurricane Katrina hit in August (05).

The hastily-re-organised 29 October (05) show, which will feature Nine Inch Nails, New York Dolls and Queens Of The Stone Age, will be an invitation-only event for local police, firefighters and rescue workers.

The organisers of the annual event were forced to find another home after the summer storm wrecked staged plans, and have since moved this year's (05) official show to Memphis, Tennessee, where it will take place on 30 October (05).

Proceeds from the Voodoo Music Experience will benefit a host of Katrina-related charities, including the New Orleans Restoration Fund and Habitat For Humanity.
