Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx with some help from his bandmates is working on a Broadway play based on his book 'The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star', but it will only be completed once the group's 'Final Tour' is over.
The 56-year-old bassist has revealed he and the group have begun work on the production but have no date in mind for it to begin because the band and their newly announced final ever European tour is their ''number one priority'' at the moment.
Speaking at The Last Ever European Press Conference at The Law Society in London today (09.05.15), Nikki said: ''The Broadway play is based on the 'The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star' book. We are working on that. It's hard with the mother ship that is Mötley Crüe it takes so much time but it's our number one priority, it always has been.''
Meanwhile, the 'Girls Girls Girls' hitmakers are hoping to release their biopic 'Dirt', which they are making to ''keep the music alive'' and have said it could be out early next year.
Nikki added: ''It's interesting because in a perfect world the movie would have come out during the touring cycle. But almost by accident the Mötley Crüe movie is going to come out when the band play the final show. And in a sense for us it's extending even further. It's going to be the end and then the movie comes and it will keeps the music alive. So we are really excited about that. We've been talking about releasing it early next year. It's a rough idea who knows, we don't make movies.''
