Nikki Reed has announced she is releasing a new album of romantic duets with her husband Paul McDonald
The 24-year-old actress has revealed she is teaming up with her former 'American Idol' contestant beau, 28, and they are planning to release a new five-song EP of original romantic duets together following the release of their debut record 'Now That I've Found You' last year.
The 'Twilight Saga' actress told MTV.com: ''What makes this album special is the fact that Paul and I wrote every song on here together. I've always loved music and felt connected to it, but was too afraid to explore that avenue. It was Paul's encouragement and talent that made me feel safe enough to try. We are inspired by the process itself. There is no greater feeling than doing something you love with someone you love. There will never be another record like this for us, because it's as much about the message behind it as it is about the music.''
The couple - who recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary - will be releasing their record on iTunes through their own indie label, Enzo and Ira Records.
Nikki and Paul's new song 'All I've Ever Needed' will also feature on the new soundtrack for her soon to be released movie 'Breaking Dawn: Part 2' which hits stores November 13.
Nikki recently said she thinks the upcoming premier of the final instalment of the vampire franchise will see the entire cast in tears.
The actress has played Rosalie in five of the vampire movies starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and admits that she gets sad at the thought of the fan seeing the final movie next Friday (16.11.12).
She said: ''It's not the last time we'll see each other, but it's the last time we'll see each other in that way and it's weird to say that it'll never happen again.
''It is sad. I'm really sad.''
