Nicole Scherzinger and James Arthur are set to duet together.

The 38-year-old singer and former Pussycat Dolls band member - who mentored the 28-year-old musician on 'The X Factor' in 2012 - has revealed she will provide the vocals to 'Let Me Love The Lonely' in a new single with Arthur, although it hasn't been done ''yet'' because Nicole's been ''unwell''.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Arthur said: ''We had a session booked but she was unwell so we haven't done it yet.

''We originally got a girl in Poland to sing it. It went really well so we thought we should give Nicole a shout.''

The forthcoming track will appear on Arthur's LP 'Back From The Edge', but he is contemplating releasing the new music with the brunette beauty as a single or as a bonus track on the album.

Arthur has revealed he has tried to reach out to fellow musician and former love interest Rita Ora to collaborate with, but heard ''nothing'' from them in response.

He previously shared: ''It was tough to get people involved in this one because I don't think anyone expected me to come back.

''I was calling Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora, all these guys saying, 'Do you want to sing this line?' I got nothing.''
