Harlow Madden "flirted" with singers gathered to perform 'We Are the World: 25 for Haiti'.

The two-year-old daughter of Nicole Richie and singer Joel Madden was with the host of stars re-recording an updated version of the classic charity song on Monday (01.02.10).

Joel tweeted: "Watched Harlow flirt with Kanye, Carey Hart, Busta Rhymes and the Jonas Brothers.

"Just like her mom she plays hard to get."

Nicole's father Lionel Richie, who wrote and masterminded the original 1985 track, co-ordinated the event, which saw over 80 stars from many different areas of US music scene - including Pink, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, Zac Brown, LL Cool J and Carlos Santana - collaborate on a huge new version of the song.

'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks, 20, said she was overwhelmed to be taking part in the record.

She said: "I wasn't born when the original came out, but the song has had a huge impact on me.

"They've changed it up a little bit, so it's a new version with a little more - I hate this word - but swag."

Rapper Lil Wayne said he felt "blessed" to be included among the cast.

He joked: "I've never been involved in something like this. I feel blessed but I was like, 'what am I doing?'

"My mother just wanted me to take Gladys Knight's picture."

Lionel has changed the lyrics to the song, while Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am has written a rap 'Greek chorus' extension to the track. Producer RedOne has given the new rack music a rhythmic face lift, and Wyclef Jean – who is of Haitian heritage - will apply a Haitian lilt to the track.

The record will raise funds to aid relief in the earthquake stricken Caribbean state.
