Weston Cage has filed for divorce from South African singer Nikki Williams after just seven months of marriage.
Weston Cage has filed for divorce.
The reality TV star - the son of actor Nicolas Cage - only married South African singer Nikki Williams in April but after numerous arguments, which on one occasion resulted in both of them being arrested on domestic violence charges earlier this year, he has hired law firm Trope & Trope to start legal separation proceedings.
Weston wrote on his Facebook page: "WELL ITS OFFICAL. THE DIVORCE IS SETTLED! ..................LADIES, DADDY IS BACK ahahahhahahaahh oh god! its on (sic)"
On October 22 he changed his relationship status on the social networking site from 'It's Complicated' to 'Single' and wrote "As of today, I have decided to seperate from Nikki Williams Cage. I am filing for divorce now. (sic)"
Weston - who is citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split - listed the separation date on his divorce papers as October 24, 2011, and has asked the court not to award any spousal support to Nikki, and wants her to pay his legal fees.
Meanwhile, Nikki hit back on her Facebook page on Sunday (30.11.11), writing: "The single life is ... perfect".
Nikki and Weston have both admitted to having problems with alcohol and entered rehab together in July.
Although Nikki has hinted that she is expecting the couple's first child, claiming one of their fights was caused when Weston found her drinking alcohol while pregnant, it is now unclear if this is the case.
She said in July: "I did drink the night before the arrest. I suppose my hormones got the best of me. That was the only occasion I consumed alcohol since I found out that I'm pregnant and I really regret my decision to do so."
