Nicolas Cage is in talks to reprise the role of Johnny Blaze for the sequel to 2007 action movie 'Ghost Rider'.
Nicolas Cage is in early negotiations to star in 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance'.
The actor played Johnny Blaze in the first movie in 2007, and studio bosses are hoping to secure his return for the sequel, with Mark Nevaldine and Brian Taylor also in negotiations to direct the film.
The first film saw Blaze become twinned with a demon after doing a deal with the devil to save the life of a loved one, turning him into a flaming-skulled stunt motorcyclist.
According to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision Blog, plot details are still unknown, but shooting is planned to begin at the end of the year.
'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance' has been written by David Goyer, while Avi and Ari Arad, Michael De Luca and Steven Paul are all set to produce.
Nicolas will next been seen in fantasy action film 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' - as magician Balthazar Blake - alongside Jay Baruchel. It is set for an August release in the UK.
Other movies coming up for Nicolas include 'Season of the Witch' and 'The Hungry Rabbit Jumps'.
