Nicolas Cage's sci-fi thriller KNOWING has taken the top spot in the international box office chart with earnings of $9.8 million (£6.9 million).
The movie, about a boy who discovers a cryptic premonition, knocked Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino off the top of the international charts outside of the U.S.
The East wood film slips to second and comedy Paul Blart: Mall Cop picked up $8 million (£6.66 million) from 14 markets outside of the U.S. to round out the top three.
Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson's family dog tale Marley and Me takes fourth place with $7.9 million (£5.5 million), and Julia Roberts' spy thriller Duplicity comes in fifth.
