Nicolas Cage's rocker son Weston was "four drinks short of death" on the day he was hospitalised after allegedly attacking his personal trainer.
The Eyes of Noctum star was admitted to a medical facility last month (Jun11) after allegedly clashing with Kevin Villegas, who worked for Weston's movie star father and was reportedly ordered to track the young man down.
Weston was reportedly taken away for a mental evaluation, while Villegas was subsequently granted a restraining order.
The 20 year old has now spoken for the first time about that day, claiming he was dangerously intoxicated at the time, and alleging he was provoked into a fight.
He tells Tmz.com, "That incident I got into was pretty hellish because my blood-alcohol (level) was .335... so I was about four drinks short of death, and so my beautiful wife and outstanding father wouldn't have been visiting me in a psych ward, they would have been visiting me for the last time at an open casket funeral.
"That guy was my wrestling coach for a while, in sophomore year, I was about 16 years old, and I used to wipe the sweat up off the floor with his face, use his face as a f**king rag, you know, and basically, he always had it out for me, and when that s**t went down what you didn't see is he hit me in the balls like a little girl. And my equilibrium was off, I'd had about 40 beers and a bottle of wine... so the wind alone could have probably kicked my a**, and he just took off. Before that he was antagonising me, asking what breast size my wife was..."
Weston is adamant he has now cleaned up his act by embracing a healthy new lifestyle: "I'm currently incredibly clean. (I'm) getting back into the path of martial arts which I've doing for 15 years..."
