Nicki Minaj took to the stage in New York's Central Park on Friday morning (5th August 2011) as part of Good Morning America's summer series of concerts. However, early risers were given a little more than they bargained for, after a wardrobe malfunction left the rapper red-faced, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Having already grabbed viewer's attention with her bubble-gum jacket and wild blonde wig, Minaj's low-cut blue vest fell a little too low, exposing herself in front of millions. East coast viewers saw the footage live, but Gma bosses were quick to digitally censor the pictures for other regions of the country - the wardrobe malfunction soon gained its own trending topic on Twitter. Elsewhere in a typically animated performance, Nicki treated Central Park to her verses from Britney Spears 'Till the World Ends', and belted out David Guetta's new single 'Where Them Girls At'. She later performed her own smash hits 'Super Bass' and Moment 4 Life'. Speaking later during an on-stage interview, Minaj said, "Thanks to my darlings, thanks to Team Minaj.I grew up in New York City.I never imagined myself playing in Central Park.I'm a hometown girl.I'm New York to the fullest".
Nicki Minaj is nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards at the forthcoming ceremony, including 'Best Female Video', 'Best Hip Hop Video' and 'Best Collaboration' for her hit single 'Check it Out' with Will.I.AM.
