It's times like these that make it important for people to stick together, and it seems that Nicki Minaj and Drake have taken note of that and decided to reconcile after over two years of not speaking. Plus, throw Lil Wayne into the mix and it looks like we can expect new music from the Young Money golden trio.

They haven't commented on their reunion, but both Nicki and Drake posted the same shot of the pair of them together yesterday (February 1st 2017). They later posted another picture of themselves along with their frequent collaborator Lil Wayne. Nicki hasn't said anything about their reaquaintance on Twitter, however; by the looks of things, she's been more concerned with people's use of the word 'literally'.

According to TMZ, the trio were brought together recently when Drake saw Nicki and Wayne on NFL Network. He contacted Young Money boss Mack Maine and apparently said: 'Why didn't you tell me the family is back?' After which point, Mack brought him on board for a meeting in Miami and they all took some selfies to show how they're all best buddies again.

For those with short memories, Nicki and Drake have been estranged since the latter began his feud with her former boyfriend Meek Mill, who she started dating in 2015 but broke up around the beginning of January this year. Their beef began when Meek accused Drake of not writing his own raps, and Drake later responded with a number of diss tracks including his 'Back to Back' freestyle.

Nicki and Drake's last project together was 2014's 'Truffle Butter' from her third album 'The Pinkprint'. What isn't totally clear is whether or not they made friends before or soon after Nicki's split with Meek Mill - and if it was before, did that contribute to the breakdown of the relationship?
