Are those wedding bells or just the beat to Nicki's next single?
Nicki Minaj is definitely a successful, young, eligible bachelorette and it appears DJ Khaled has taken notice. The artist, known for his collaborative tendencies, is looking to start a union of an entirely different kind and he recently popped the question to everyone’s favorite rapping Barbie. Which begs the question: were those two even dating?
Miss Minaj has attracted the attention of an eligible young bachelor.
Miss Minaj is notoriously private about her dating record, but even so, it doesn’t sound like the hitmaker is coming from a place of lasting love and shared memories. On Thursday, he asked for Nicki’s hand in marriage, saying for MTV: "I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine."
The rapper clearly thinks he and Minaj share a path in life.
Then he went on in what was admittedly quite a touching proposal: "I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine." Who wouldn’t want to hear those words… even if they have come completely out of the blue. Despite the surprise, however, the rapper’s feelings do, apparently, run quite deep.
"We got the same symptoms, we're both suffering from success," he said, noting Minaj's hectic schedule, which includes live shows, recording sessions and filming "The Other Woman" alongside actress Cameron Diaz. "[If] you gotta take your time and think about it, I overstand, but I know I have to be here today to let you know how serious I am and how serious this is to me."
So what will it be, Nicki?
