Nicki Minaj insists she and DJ Khaled are like ''brother and sister'' and his recent video proposal was simply a stunt to promote his new single.
Khaled recently proposed to the 'Starships' singer in an MTV video that went viral but Nicki says it was simply an elaborate stunt to promote his new single 'I Wanna Be With You' and there is no romance between them.
Speaking on radio station Hot 97, she said: ''I was shocked just like the rest of the world.
''It was just another way for him to kinda give the world a glimpse on the feeling of this record. Nobody in my real life took it seriously. Everybody just hit me like, 'LOL. Yo, Khaled is crazy.'
''Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, ya'll. Please let it go. He was kidding. He's not attracted to me, he doesn't like me. We're brother and sister.''
However, Khaled says he was sincere and he wants to marry Nicki, 30.
He said: ''I want to marry her! She can take her time and think about it. At least she knows how I feel now.''
