Rappers Nicki Minaj and Wiz Khalifa are among the stars spearheading a new education campaign aimed at keeping children in school.
Singers Ciara, Jesse MCCartney and Trey Songz have also added their support to the Get Schooled Foundation's Wake Up and Get Schooled initiative, which sets out to encourage teenagers to achieve a better attendance record to avoid falling behind with their studies or dropping out altogether.
Students across the U.S. will be able to sign up to receive pre-recorded wake-up calls and messages from the celebrities until June 2012 to help get them to school on time.
