'Parks And Recreation' star Nick Offerman discusses his new movie 'The Kings Of Summer' in an interview. He reveals his teenage home woes and talks about working with Nick Robinson and his funniest scenes.
Asked if he ever ran away from home he replied, 'I tried to run away a couple of times. Probably as far as a quarter mile was my record before I thought I might like to have a sandwich.' On working with his onscreen son played by Robinson and the other boys played by Gabe Basso and Moises Arias, he had nothing but praise to tell. '[They] were incredibly competent for teenage actors', he said. 'I found them quite irksome when I thought back to my own teenage years; I had a hard time finding my rear end with both hands and these guys were absolute professionals.' On the comedy scenes, he said, 'I had a great time playing the straight man to some of these incredible comic talents. Kumail Nanjiani as the wanton delivery guy was one of the funniest scenes I've ever shot.'
