Singer/actor Nick Cannon was thrilled when legendary star Harry Belafonte took him under his wing while shooting the film BOBBY. The 26-year-old is trying to emulate Belafonte's success and is releasing a new album next year (07) and appearing in three upcoming films. The pair became close while shooting Emilio Estevez's feature that's set on the day of Robert F Kennedy's assassination. Cannon says the 79-year-old "downloaded me with so much wisdom - this man who was one of the cornerstones of the civil rights movement, the first man to ever sell a million records. "We have spent time together, absolutely. When I say that Harry Belafonte changed my life, I mean it!"
