The One Direction star is bemused by fake accounts on the social media website claiming to be profiles of his mother Maura Gallagher and father Bobby Horan and has warned fans his brother and sister-in-law are the only members of his family who use the micro-blogging community.
He wrote on Twitter: ''My brother and Denise are the only ones with twitter so any of you pretending to be my parents! Stop ! It's actually really freaky! (sic)''
The 'Little Things' is close to his family and is said to have plans to whisk girlfriend Barbara Palvin away to Mullinger, Ireland, next month to introduce her to his parents.
A source previously said: ''Babs has already met loads of Niall's friends and is really in with his London/Irish mates. But this will be the first time he has taken a girl back home to meet his whole family. It's really exciting, he can't wait for everyone to meet her.''
