Prince Frederic Von Anhalt - Zsa Zsa Gabor's Husband's Conservatorship Extended

09 January 2013

Prince Frederic von Anhalt's temporary conservatorship of his ailing wife Zsa Zsa Gabor's affairs has been extended through August (13).

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz put the European royal in charge of Gabor's finances for six months in July (12), announcing she would reevaluate his efforts in January (13).

And on Wednesday (09Jan13) Von Anhalt was given the green light to remain in control of the star's assets as the 95 year old continues to struggle with ill health, according to the Associated Press.

Under the terms of the agreement, Gabor's husband must provide a detailed account of her finances a month prior to his next court date on 21 August (13), when he will face another review.

The Moulin Rouge star's daughter, Constance Hilton, originally filed a petition seeking conservatorship last March (12), but her request was denied.

The actress has been in and out of the hospital in recent years - her right leg was amputated below to the knee to prevent the spread of gangrene in 2011 and last December (12) she underwent surgery to halt an infection around her feeding tube.

Francesca Hilton was forced to file and pay for lawyers to request a Conservatorship by the Courts because Frederick vonAnhalt was denying her access to her mother's house (not his house). VonAnhalt was also making public statements about his lifestyle including throwing house parties, taking billboards out of himself on Sunset Blvd., and other personal expenses. Filing for Conservatorship allows the Court to intervene and to investigate, the fiances, living conditions and medical conditions of Zsa Zsa Gabor, Francesca's natural mother and only child. Francesca was denied by VonAnhalt, access to her mother, and all of the information about her mother's health and well-being. Hilton had no recourse. The Court ordered VonAnhalt to provide financial statements to Hiltton's lawyers and the Courts to monitor Zsa Zsa's assets, ordered vonanhalt to allow uninterpreted visitaion for Hilton to see her mother at least once a week, and ordered him to provide a financial bond and checking account to guarantee Zsa Zsa' assets from being spent without courts permission. When headlines bellow that VonAnhalt Has won Conservatorhip, he really didn't gain anything- except for the time, cost and energy to provide the court ordered financials and other demands. Hilton has won what she wanted--access to her mother, court ordered accounting of her mother's assets (so they are not squandered), and knowing that her mother can stay in her own home for the rest of her life. VonAnhalt and his reps shrewdly attacks Hilton with statements including that all Hilton wants is her mother's money. Hilton is couregeous to take VonAnhalt on for what he is, and has done. The Courts have done the right thing. Hilton is now seeing her mother before she dies, and VonAnhalt can't declare he has Power of Attorney and squander Zsa Zsa's assets. So who really wins at this time? Journalists need to do their homework.
