Zsa Zsa Gabor Chooses Family
Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor turned down liver treatment which could have saved her life so she could spend her final days with her family.
Zsa Zsa Gabor turned down liver treatment in hospital to spend time with her loved ones.
The 93-year-old actress - who was given her last rites at her own request earlier this week - declined to undergo medical procedures which could potentially save her life, so she could return home for her final few days.
Her spokesperson John Blanchette told TVGuide.com: "They wanted to do a liver treatment... and she's decided she doesn't want to do anymore and they've gone home to stay at the house.
"She got her last rites... She's being fed intravenously through a tube and they have all the equipment at the house. I think she just wants to spend her final days there."
On Monday the Hungarian actress left the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles and returned to the Bel Air house she shares with her ninth husband, Prince Frederic Von Anhalt.
She has been unwell since she needed a hip replacement operation last month after falling off her bed and was released after a month.
However, Zsa Zsa - who has been in a wheelchair since 2002 - took a turn for the worse and was readmitted on Saturday (14.08.10) with blood clots in her liver.
She is now being cared for by her husband and her recently reconciled daughter Constance Francesca Hilton.
