Zooey Deschanel loves Hawaii.

The '(500) Days of Summer' actress -who married Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard last year - managed to squeeze in two trips to the island into her busy schedule last year, and is desperate to return because she loves routine in her life.

She said: "I hadn't been on vacation for many years, but last year, I had the good fortune to go to Maui in Hawaii, twice. I'd like to go back there again as I'm a creature of habit."

Although Zooey is keen to jet away again, she doesn't mind living in America because she enjoys spending time in both Los Angeles and New York.

She explained to Britain's InStyle magazine: "I just adore Los Angeles. New York has great restaurants and it's fun to walk around there, but I'm from Los Angeles and all of my friends are here - it's such a beautiful place."
