Zombie Quits Record Label

ROB ZOMBIE has walked out on his record label of 18 years following a dispute over his upcoming album.

The musician-turned-movie director slammed executives at his Geffen label, accusing them of failing to allow enough time to promote his new record, Hellbilly Deluxe 2.

The CD was due to hit shelves next month (Nov09) but has now been delayed until 2010, with Zombie claiming label bosses allowed the record's release to turn into "a chaotic mess."

The star has now called time on his association with Geffen and signed a new deal with rock label Roadrunner Records through its Loud & Proud imprint.

Zombie says in a statement, "It certainly wasn't an easy decision to make after all this time, but it had to be done. I love this new record and wanted to surround myself with an excited new group of people who can reignite my enthusiasm for working within a hard rock record label. Roadrunner seems to be the perfect place."
