17 June 2011'Star Trek' actress Zoe Saldana is in talks to join the cast of drama movie 'Infinitely Polar Bear', about the life of a man with bipolar disorder.

Zoe Saldana has joined the cast of 'Infinitely Polar Bear'.
The 'Star Trek' actress is in negotiations to star opposite Mark Ruffalo in the project, about a man suffering from bipolar disorder who goes off his medication and loses his mind and his job, while struggling to maintain his roles as a father and a husband.
Zoe will play the wife who ends up moving out and leaving him with the children.
Screenwriter Maya Forbes, who has previously worked on 'Monsters vs. Aliens', will direct the film, while J.J. Abrams is signed up to produce.
It is not yet known what studio is signing up the project, which is being supported and produced by billionaire heiress Megan Ellison.
Zoe, 32, is set to film the highly anticipated 'Star Trek' sequel this year, starring Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, and is currently shooting plagiarism Drama 'The Words' alongside Bradley Cooper, Ben Barnes and Olivia Wilde.
