Ziggy Marley Opens Tribute Exhibition To His Dad With Guitar Gift
The instrument, which has never left the Marleys' native Jamaica since the No Woman No Cry singer died in 1981, is expected to be the highlight of a new exhibition, titled Bob Marley: Messenger.
Marley told Billboard.com, "That was his weapon. It (guitar) was one of the most important things to him. To share that with people - he would have wanted that. He wanted people to be as close to him as possible. He was a not a solitary kind of person."
The Marley exhibition, which runs until 2 October (11), includes clothing the reggae legend wore, rare and unseen photographs, posters and other memorabilia.
