Zara Phillips - Zara Phillips Follows Prince William With Royal Engagement

ZARA PHILLIPS, the Queen's eldest granddaughter, is set to marry long-term boyfriend MIKE TINDALL after Buckingham Palace confirmed their engagement today (21st December 2010). England rugby star Tindall proposed to Ms Phillips at their Gloucestershire home yesterday, reports Sky News.
Tindall, originally from Leeds, presented his wife-to-be with a solitaire diamond ring on a platinum band and Phillips said that she was both "shocked" and "very happy". The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were said to be "delighted" by the news. The engagement comes just weeks after PRINCE WILLIAM and his long-term girlfriend KATE MIDDLETON announced that they are to marry on April 29th 2011, however, it is not yet known whether Phillips and Tindall intend to marry next year also.
The couple first met during England's successful World Cup rugby campaign in 2003, and Phillips won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2007 after winning a gold medal at the World Equestrian Games in 2007. In a short statement, 32-year-old Tindall said, "I am delighted that Zara has agreed to marry me. We are both very excited about the next stage of our lives together".

In the LEGO scenes, Her Majesty The Queen wears a characteristically classic hat - a bright yellow straw number with hand painted silk flowers. The Duchess of Cornwall wears a grey picture hat with miniature feathers while fashionista the Duchess of Cambridge wears an understated royal blue straw slice hat with quill feathers.

"What's not to love about it really?" Trevor-Morgan said at the unveiling, "I mean it's just been such fun. They are all made in exactly the same way that we might be making our hats in the work room."

"Each edge is still stitched as we would do in any of our hats so the detailing is there and they are quite intricate."

The Duchess' mother Carole Middleton and the Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice as well as Zara Tindall also get the LEGO treatment and sport headwear measuring just a few centimetres each.

Trevor-Morgan said she had been inspired by the individual fashions of all of the royal women but had tried to add her "own imprint on the different styles."

The due date may be uncertain- the couple revealed their child will be due sometime in mid-July- yet the world press and British public are already camped outside Buckingham Palace and St. Mary's Hospital, London in expectation of the future Royal's imminent arrival. St. Mary's is also where the baby's Grandfather (Prince Charles) and Uncle (Prince Harry) were born.

Kate Middleton finished her royal duties last month in order to rest for the arrival of their child. The baby will be the third in line to the throne (after Prince Charles and Prince William). Regardless of the child's sex the baby will be the third in line, making Prince William's brother Harry the fourth. Previously, male heirs took precedence over females in the line of succession.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were married in April 2011, the couple are known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, they announced they were expecting a child in December 2012.

Other Royal babies are expected within the next year as show-jumper Zara Phillips and her rugby player husband Mike Tindall are expecting their first child in the New Year. Phillips is the granddaughter of the Queen and the announcement was made by Buckingham Palace on Monday (8th July 2013).

Speculation surrounding the birth, its details and the future of the child has been wide spread. Betting shop, William Hill, has offered members of the public the opportunity to bet on possible baby names. For a girl these include Alexandra, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Diana and Victoria. The most popular boy's names are George and James.

The arrival of the baby will be announced via a notice outside Buckingham Palace, Twitter and the Palace's official websites.

'Gangnam Style' Gets Royal Treatment, Zara Phillips Dances For Children In Need 3364750 News

Zara Phillips and her fellow Team GB equestrian team members will be dancing ‘Gangnam Style’ to raise money for Children in Need.

The Royal Olympian and granddaughter to the Queen will be dancing in full equestrian kit, to the strains of Psy’s surprise electro-pop hit, which has spawned many an imitation (one of which got a group of lifeguards fired from their jobs, no less), The Telegraph reports.

‘Gangnam Style’ became a viral hit this summer and has now been viewed over 658 million times on YouTube. Now, it gets the royal seal of approval, as Princess Anne’s daughter, along with Tina Cook and Nicola Wilson, will perform their very own brand of the now-legendary dance as part of the BBC’s evening of charity-focused entertainment. Fittingly, the dance itself features a mime of someone pretending to ride a horse and spinning a lasso. That first bit, at least, should be a doddle for the Equestrian Event team, who will release the video on Monday (November 12, 2012), ahead of the annual Children in Need telethon, which will take place on Friday (November 16, 2012).

Zara will now join the likes of Boris Johnson and David Cameron, who have apparently danced ‘Gangnam Style’ together. “Gangnam Style is very good," Boris Johnson revealed at the Tory party conference. "The Prime Minister and I danced Gangnam Style the other day, you will be shocked to discover.” Shocked? well, yes, just a little.
