Zach Galifianakis - Zach Galifiankis Calls Koch Brothers 'Creepy': They Are Not Amused

Zach Galifianakis may be one of Hollywood's go-to guys when it comes to modern comedy but it seems that his humour doesn't quite appeal to everybody. Zach's new movie 'The Campaign' (also starring Will Ferrell), features a pair of wealthy political donors, named the Motch brothers (played by Dan Aykroyd and John Lithgow). It's a pretty thinly veiled reference to the Koch brothers, of course, and David and Charles Koch haven't quite been able to see the funny side of their portrayal in the movie.
The Koch brothers, if you didn't already know, are high profile Republican Party figures and vocal supporters of conservative and libertarian causes and Galifianakis has done little to hide his disdain for the siblings. Reported on Cnn's 'Political Ticker' blog, the Koch brother's spokesperson has been quick to show that they are not amused by Zach's views. "Last we checked, the movie is a comedy. Maybe more to the point is that it's laughable to take political guidance or moral instruction from a guy who makes obscene gestures with a monkey on a bus in Bangkok." It looks as though the Koch brothers are getting a little confused between Zach Galifianakis, the actor and the character that he played in The Hangover II, but we get the point they're trying to make.
Their spokesman continued: "We disagree with his uninformed characterization of Koch and our beliefs. His comments, which appear to be based on false attacks made by our political opponents, demonstrate a lack of understanding of our longstanding support of individual freedom, freedom of expression, and constitutional rights." And if you're wondering what Zach said to get them so riled, it appears that he called them "creepy" before stressing "It's not freedom what they are doing."
