Hanson - Zac Hanson Is A First-Time Dad

HANSON star ZAC HANSON has become a father for the first time - his wife KATE has given birth to a baby boy.

John Ira Shepherd Hanson was born on Tuesday (27May08) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, weighing in at a healthy 3.75 kilograms (eight pounds and four ounces).

Hanson, 22, tells People.com, "I am so overjoyed. There iis not an audience or concert that could ever stand up to the feeling of meeting your baby for the first time."

New mum Kate adds, "Shepherd is the most wonderful gift we could ever receive. We're already enjoying every second of this great adventure."

The tot joins a growing Hanson clan; bandmate brother Taylor has three children; and Isaac and wife Nikki have one child with another due next month (Jun08).
