Zac Efron Reads The Lorax To New York Schoolchildren
Zac and Danny had agreed to take part in the reading event to help promote the American Literacy Campaign. Zac said "As a kid, I remember thinking, 'What would it be like to go on this big adventure and learn what the Once-ler knows?' Now here I am, two decades later, voicing Ted in Dr Seuss' The Lorax. It's an honour to not only be a part of this movie, but to work with the National Education Association's Read Across America to inspire the love of reading in millions of kids." The reading took place on March 2, 2012, which also marked Dr Seuss' 108th birthday.
Dr Seuss' The Lorax opened in cinemas last weekend and had the highest-grossing opening weekend at the box office of any movie released this year, raking in sales of over $70 million. It also became the highest grossing debut of any Dr. Seuss adaptation, including Horton Hears a Who. Efron is also scheduled to appear in The Lucky One this year; a romantic drama co-starring TAYLOR SCHILLING.| Comment on this article |
