Zac Efron Idolises Leonardo

Zac Efron wants to emulate Leonardo DiCaprio's career because he has such a varied filmography.

Zac Efron wants Leonardo DiCaprio's career.

The 22-year-old actor - who rose to fame in the popular 'High School Musical' film franchise - constantly compares his career to 'Titanic' star Leonardo's because he is the perfect benchmark for new actors.

He said: "I'm re-watching Leo's transition, from my perspective. He's the best barometer for me. It's amazing to see actors who have been able to sustain this for so long and keep positive, still focused on the work, still trying to make their best film."

Zac recently admitted he wants to play a villain in a James Bond movie.

The 'Me and Orson Welles' actor loves the series of films about the iconic British spy and wants a role in the next addition in the franchise, which currently stars Daniel Craig as the lead character.

He said: "I'm a huge James Bond fan. I'd love to be a Bond baddie. I've seen pretty much every Bond film. Sean Connery is my favourite and I really like 'Goldeneye' with Pierce Brosnan."
