Big-hearted country star Zac Brown has set up a special needs summer camp for kids suffering from autism, Tourette's syndrome and attention deficit disorder.
His free Camp Southern Ground will be located on sprawling farmland in Georgia.
The state-of-the-art facility will offer a range of equipment to help kids with neurological issues enjoy a summer break, and Brown is even overseeing the camp's menu to make sure all suggested diets are catered for.
The father of four tells Cmt.com, "To me, there is nothing more worthwhile than helping kids. I grew up working with kids while on staff at summer camps and remember how they were impacted during their visits.
"Their time at camp helped to make a difference in their lives and will last them a lifetime. Camp Southern Ground will work with special needs children while providing them with lodging and facilities to most effectively contribute to their rehabilitation.
"The highly trained staff will offer a wide variety of therapeutic activities that are designed to help stimulate the mind and body and encourage development, all in a beautiful setting. This is the year to get it started."
Brown has already created a website to update parents about the camp, but there's no fixed date for Camp Southern Ground to open.
