Rap star YUKMOUTH has slammed reports MARION 'SUGE' KNIGHT was involved in his assault and robbery on Monday (22Mar10), insisting police are trying to catch the hip-hop mogul out.
Reports suggested the former Death Row Records' CEO beat up the rapper before stealing jewellery from him at a supermarket in California's San Fernando Valley area.
But now Yukmouth has spoken out about Knight's connection to the incident, alleging police are using him to try to get to the businessman.
He tells VladTV.com, "L.A. police have been after Suge Knight for years and are lying about me to try to get him..."
Yukmouth claims he never reported the incident to police and blames others for prompting cops to look into the case - but he has no intention of helping with their investigation.
He says, "I never filed a police report and I never pressed any charges. Me and Suge have always been cool.
"When the incident happened in the grocery store parking lot, other people called the police and filed reports. The L.A. police have been calling me trying to have me come in and cooperate, but it's not happening."
