Yoko Ono - Yoko Records Christmas Tune With Flaming Lips

The acts will team up for two New Year's concerts in Oklahoma at the end of the month (Dec11), when they will perform John Lennon's peace anthem Happy Xmas (War Is Over) together.

And to promote the gigs, Yoko and the Plastic Ono Band have teamed up to revamp Atlas Eets Christmas, which was among the tracks on the Flaming Lips' 2007 festive album.

The group is also planning a 2012 collaboration with singer/songwriter Nick Cave.

Frontman Wayne Coyne reveals he has been speaking to the Aussie star about working on an album together since they performed together at the Primavera Sound festival in Spain earlier this year (May11).
