Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Yeah Yeah Yeahs Headlining Sandy Benefit Show

Rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs are headlining a small benefit show in Brooklyn, New York next week (begs03Dec12) to raise funds for the victims of superstorm Sandy.

The Big Apple natives will stage an intimate concert at Union Pool bar in Williamsburg on 8 December (12), with support from TV On The Radio frontman Tunde Adebimpe and the Higgings Waterproof Black Magic Band.

Proceeds from the gig will go towards the Waves for Water's Hurricane Sandy relief initiative.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are the latest musicians to sign up for charity shows to help those worst-affected by the post-tropical cyclone, which devastated America's East Coast in late October (12).

Bruce Springsteen and Paul MCCartney are among the big names set to rock Manhattan's fabled Madison Square Garden for the 12.12.12. The Concert for Sandy Relief, while Latin stars Juanes and Juan Luis Guerra donated the profits from their recent Brooklyn gig to the ongoing recovery effort.
