X Factor's Lucy Spraggan Has The Hots For Mentor Tulisa

Lucy Spraggan’s been sailing pretty close to the wind with her off-camera antics in the last couple of weeks and now, she’s told The Sun that she fancies her own mentor on the show, Tulisa Contostavlos. It sounds like it’s a ‘look-but-don’t touch’ kinda crush, though, as Lucy’s got a girlfriend who’s currently away travelling in Thailand and she’s looking forward to her return. When she was asked how she felt about her mentor Tulisa, Lucy said “I love her — and of course I fancy her, all men and women fancy her.” We’re not sure that’s entirely true but it’s a nice sentiment, we guess.

Spraggan also explained that she never felt any pressure from her family when she told them she’s gay. The X Factor contestant, who has won over the hearts of the judges and the public with her quirky, confessional songs, said “When I came out, it was just like someone had said, ‘I’m nipping to the shops.’ I walked into Mum’s room, she was with my stepdad and I just told her I had a girlfriend — that was it. She was just pleased. But I didn’t get my confidence because of my courage to come out. It is from how I was brought up and my surroundings, my school… No way did I think my mum would throw me out after I came out. No one in my family judges anyone like that.”

In fact, Lucy reckons her mum always wanted to have at least one gay child: She thinks she’s part of the cool club now,” said Lucy. “I’m pretty sure she had always been wishing for a gay child. She’s taken her kids to Gay Pride festivals since we were babies and has lots of gay friends.”
