'X Factor Diet' Sees Craig Colton Lose Two Stone

The X Factor contestant Craig Colton has lost over two stone on a strict diet enforced by judge and mentor Gary Barlow. The 22-year-old from Liverpool, who works in a biscuit factory, enlisted the help of Barlow's nutritionist to help him shed the pounds.

Speaking to the UK's Sun newspaper, Craig revealed, "I mentioned to Gary that I wanted to lose weight so he put me on this diet. It's strict, but I'm full of energy. I lost a stone in a week and more than a stone since the judge's house in Los Angeles" Barlow has suffered from weight fluctuations throughout his career - at one point spiralling to 16 stone. However, since the successful reformation of Take That, the singer-songwriter has slimmed down and is now looking to help his X Factor contestants. 21-year-old Marcus Collins has also adopted the 'Barlow diet', saying, "He has given us a healthy eating plan. It is smoothies for breakfast and slow releasing energy - snacking on almonds instead of sweets. He also advised us to work out". Gary's diet plans are not a concern for fellow judge Tulisa Contostavlos, who reportedly cooks roast dinners for her contestants, while Louis Walsh is telling his acts to remain as they are.

Although Northern Irish singer Janet Devlin is the favourite to win this year's competition, Barlow's boys are regarded as the strongest overall category
