Former wrestling superstar Jack Swagger has escaped jail time after he was convicted of driving under the influence (Dui).
The sportsman, real name Jacob Hager, was pulled over for speeding in Biloxi, Mississippi in February (13) and cops accused him of being intoxicated behind the wheel. A subsequent search of his car turned up a stash of marijuana.
He protested his innocence but was found guilty on charges of Dui and speeding during a court hearing on Tuesday (25Jun13). The misdemeanour count for possession had recently been dropped.
Swagger was sentenced to six months' probation and fined $1,498 (£966). He was also ordered to attend an alcohol and substance abuse education class, according to Tmz.com.
