Woody Allen - Woody Allen Defends Paparazzi
Moviemaker Woody Allen has defended the paparazzi and insisted photographers are "very nice guys" after Alec Baldwin clashed with a snapper earlier this week (beg18Jun12).
The Annie Hall director is pals with Baldwin and insists he understands why the 30 Rock star reacted when he was photographed exiting a courthouse after obtaining a marriage licence on Tuesday (19Jun12).
But Allen is adamant the overwhelming majority of snappers are friendly and there's no need for stars to confront them.
He tells the New York Daily News, "I know a lot of paparazzi, and they're very nice guys and they can be fun. But when they step over the line and they're mobbing your children or flashing bulbs in your face relentlessly, you know, then it becomes not a civil intercourse between the celebrity and the guys that earn their living that way."
