Anne Hathaway, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter all trod the special green carpet for the royal premiere of Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland' last night (25.02.10).
The stars of 'Alice in Wonderland' braved the rain for the movie's royal world premiere last night (25.02.10)
Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Burton and Anne Hathaway were among the stars of the film who risked a soaking as they walked the green carpet in London's Leicester Square for the special screening of the 3-D Disney adventure, which was attended by Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
Commenting on the 3-D movie, Anne, who plays the White Queen, said it was a departure from normal adaptations of the Lewis Carroll novel that she thinks fans will enjoy.
She said: "This is Alice ten years later... when she goes to Wonderland she's experiencing a return to self and I think it's a wonderful take on it."
Other stars in attendance at the event included Barbara Windsor, who plays the voice of Dormouse, newcomer Mia Wasikowska, who plays the teenage Alice, and Avril Lavigne, whose music has been used to soundtrack the movie.
Charles and Camilla met with the cast before the film was shown, and the heir to the throne asked Johnny - who plays the Mad Hatter - if he minded watching himself on the big screen.
The actor replied: "I normally don't."
