Wonder To Go On Tour?
Veteran crooner STEVIE WONDER is set to hit the road for his first tour in over two decades, according to reports.
The blind Superstition star, 57, last went on a major tour in 1986, but has performed at numerous awards ceremonies and events in recent years, including the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania leg of Live 8 in 2005 and the 2006 Super Bowl.
But concert promoters Live Nation and Nederlander Concerts claim he is to make "a very, very special announcement" at a Los Angeles news conference on Thursday (02Aug07), where he is expected to reveal a series of tour dates across the U.S.
The funk/soul legend released his first album in 10 years, A Time to Love, in 2005.
