Death Wish director Michael Winner fears he missed his true vocation as a barrister, because he would have thrived on the drama and conflict of the courtroom.
The British raconteur has always been fascinated by the legal profession, particularly because - as well as being well paid - life as a barrister would offer daily opportunities to strut about and perform.
He says, "I'd quite definitely have been a barrister because that is a little drama every day.
"You would have a leading role and there's always lots of conflict. Conflict is always interesting."
