Winehouse To Play At V Festival

by | 04 March 2008

AMY WINEHOUSE is set to be one of the major acts performing at this year's V Festival.

Last night organisers announced that the BACK TO BLACK songstress will play at the August event following successful performances at the Grammy and Brit awards.

However, Amy will not be given a headline slot – with that honour given to MUSE and THE VERVE.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Amy is a massive coup. But with her record of dropping out of gigs at the last minute, bosses couldn't risk putting her at the top of the bill."

Winehouse was due to perform at the festival last year but pulled out at the last minute due to "health issues".

Festival-goers will also be treated to performances from KINGS OF LEON, IAN BROWN, THE KOOKS and THE SUGABABES.

Meanwhile, the Grammy Award-winning singer recently entertained some of Hollywood's biggest stars at the opening of Fendi's new Avenue Montaigne boutique.

During a 40-minute set, a crowd including MARY-KATE OLSEN, JADE JAGGER and JESSICA ALBA listened to renditions of her hits including VALERIE and REHAB.
