Winans Charged With Domestic Assault
Gospel singer Bebe Winans has been charged with misdemeanour domestic assault after a dispute with his ex-wife.
An arrest warrant filed on Wednesday (11Mar09) claims Winans argued with Debra Winans about their children at her home last month (13Feb09).
The warrant states Debra Winans told authorities her former husband pushed her to the ground.
He was released from the Davidson County Jail in Nashville on Thursday (12Mar09) after posting $1,000 (£714) bond.
In a statement, Winans says: "The allegations are inconsistent with my character."
