Rapper Will.I.AM has apologised after he swore on live TV during his performance at a London festival on Saturday (23Jun12).
The Black Eyed Peas star took to the stage at the Bbc's Hackney Weekend event, but left viewers at home shocked after shouting 'f**k' during his set.
He has now said sorry for any offence caused and reached out to executives at the network, which he appeared on as a judge on the U.K.'s version of The Voice earlier this year (12).
He tells Bbc's Newsbeat, "That was my first time doing it without the Peas, a massive audience like that...
"I apologise to all the people, I didn't know we were live on TV. I dropped a couple of F-Bombs, and I apologise to the people at the Bbc. I'm loose... but if I would of (sic) known we were live (I wouldn't have done it)... my mistake, bad communication - I just thought they were taping (song) This Is Love."
